Hackathons& Buildathons.

Hands-on sprints for companies and education, from a focused brief to tested prototypes.

Work on a question.
Build a way to test it.

Building a prototype exposes questions that a discussion can leave unanswered. We combine technology, spatial design and facilitation to help teams investigate a business problem or put learning into practice.

We use hackathons to explore different responses to a challenge, and buildathons to develop a more defined idea. The brief, participants and learning goals determine the format.

The sprint starts before
the doors open.

01

Frame a challenge worth building for.

We agree the problem, who it affects and what teams can realistically investigate. The brief sets out constraints, available tools and criteria for reviewing the work.

Challenge brief · Success criteria · Team & tool setup

02

Arrange the space and schedule.

Teams need places to build, discuss, test and pause. We plan the layout, shared tools and schedule so focused work has enough time and space.

Participant experience · Spatial layout · Sprint agenda

03

Help teams get unstuck.

We guide working sessions and bring in design, technical or subject specialists as needed. Check-ins and user feedback help teams resolve questions while they build.

Facilitation · Specialist mentoring · Prototype testing

04

Plan further development.

We review each prototype against the brief, document what remains untested and identify what it needs next. The handover names owners, dependencies and steps for a pilot or further study.

Prototype review · Evidence & open questions · Roadmap handover

( Companies & education )

01 / B2B & technology

Test a product
or service direction.

Bring product teams, customers, partners or internal specialists together around a real opportunity. Explore AI use cases, rethink a service or test a product direction before committing to a larger investment.

  • Internal product and service sprints
  • Partner, customer & developer challenges
  • Prototype review and pilot planning

02 / Education

Turn learning into
something students build.

For universities, schools and learning programmes, we connect learning objectives to practical briefs. Students work across disciplines, question how technology is used and get support suited to their experience.

  • Industry-linked briefs & interdisciplinary teams
  • Mentoring and tools suited to the participants
  • Prototype portfolios, reflection & next-stage projects

( Beyond the demo )

After the sprint,
a plan for the work.

Your handover includes the prototypes, feedback, test findings and open questions. It gives teams a record they can use to plan the next phase.

We agree the format, duration, mentoring mix and handover together. Prototype development is part of the sprint; production delivery is a separate next step, scoped around what the teams discover.
